The Education Programme
The Education Programme provided by Toastmasters International sets the targets for our development and is the foundation for the structure of the club's operation.
There is a development track for speaking skills and one for leadership. When members first join, they are issued with two starting manuals that are the Competent Communication manual and the Competent Leadership manual. Members are encouraged to follow both manuals as the skills gained in one compliment the other. Both manuals comprise 10 projects each. Each project promotes learning of a select skill set. |
When members complete the Competent Communication manual, they are awarded the status of Competent Communicator (CC) and can progress to the advanced series of manuals. Likewise, on completion of the Competent Leadership manual, the member is awarded the Competent Leader title (CL). Completion of each further set of 10 projects in either track results in achievement of the next level of award, and so forth, up to the top title of Distinguished Toastmaster.
Below are examples of the projects associated with the CC and CL manuals. |
