Mentoring
West London Speakers Club provides a mentoring programme to support new members and help more established members continue in their development.
When you join the club, you are appointed a mentor to assist you in your first steps. This includes learning how to book roles on the meeting management system 'D71', and finding out about each role. The mentor guides you on taking on each speaking role as well as making plans for your prepared speeches. If you wish, you can approach your mentor or another experienced club member to practise your role or speech before delivery at a club meeting.
The mentoring programme is overseen by the club officer for mentoring who is a member of the Club Committee.
