Meet our committee
Each Toastmasters International club is run by the committee. The committee is made up of eight club officers who are appointed specific duties and responsibilities in the running of the club. Membership of the committee is not only essential for the club but helps each individual improve leadership skills through participation in committee decision-making, pursuing the responsibilities of the role, and sharing feedback. Club Officers are all leaders and also take part in activities beyond the club. Skills are gained through self-development, cross-training and feedback. Skills include: interpersonal communication, organisation, decision-making, creative thinking, motivating others, using information technology and of course team-building.
The committee generally meet monthly to discuss any issues, and to plan for up-and-coming events as well as make decisions together on special activities.
