Gaining Leadership Skills
Members gain leadership skills by pursuing their assignment of roles in the Leadership Track. These include specific roles at regular meetings, roles at special events and officer roles within the club or organisation.
New members are issued with a starting manual - the Competent Leadership manual, which features 10 projects. Each project is evaluated by an assigned member. On completion of all projects, the member is awarded the Competent Leader (CL) title. |
Beyond the Competent Leader award, members continue with the Advanced Leader Programme manuals. Please refer to the Leadership Track diagram on the Education Programme page for a summary.
Eight officer roles are available on the Club Committee. The positions become open at the start of each Toastmaster year when a formal election process is conducted. Officer roles also exist at Area, Division, District (UK and Ireland) and International levels.
